I'm trying to buy Xbox Live Gold, but before the payment options even come up, it goes straight to Status code: 80190864- Can't retrieve information from Xbox Live.
Also, the Xbox Live Gold card I bought last year for Christmas said it would have an extra month, and it only lasted until yesterday. The only reason I have Gold now is because I found a 2-day Gold in my Halo:CE Anniversary. Is there a way I can buy Gold on Xbox.com?
That code means you have some sort of billing violation on your account. Go to https://billing.microsoft.com to make sure your info is correct and up to date. If you can't fix it there you will have to call support and talk to billing.

Go to the billing site (its a separate site and can be located by clicking "my account" then "billing contact information" and then above the address information there is a small paragraph and within the paragraph is a link to the Microsoft Billing Website. Click that link) and update your information. Either your card is in "bad" standing or you need to put a current card in. That's what happened to me. I put my current card in and it went through just fine.

with the status code 80190864 there is a balance on your account visit billing.microsoft.com to see the balance or call into support in the billing department to get the balance taken care of

I have looked at all my billing information and it says my balance is at $0.00 and i still cant buy Xbox live gold but i can purchase microsoft points. Does anybody know whats going on?
Same as killingDrew88, I can buy points but can't get Gold for 1 month. There is nothing wrong with my payment information.
Was any body able to get there membership eventually?
