I agree, it's not working for me

I was able to update my consol to the latest version, but now it seems that I can't connect any more to xbox live since today.

I can't. I get  an error everytime

What is your error is it the same as mine? (Post your error status code)

Your console had a problem during the update process. Carefully, follow these step-by-step instructions:

1.Eject the disc tray and remove any disc from the console.

Important Do not close the disc tray. Leave it open.

4.Plug the power cord back into the console.

Thought this had been fixed when i was able to access the update but apparently not, from the lack of help from Microsoft kinda feel those with the problem should be compensated for the lack of service we have paid for

If this is not fixed by the end of the week I plan to call Microsoft and ask for compensation. I spent more then my fair share of money on this system. [mod removed], once you play online, you can't go back to offline!

This is very true. Playing against other gamers is far better than any game against a machine, that is why we are so frustrated.

The problem does seen widespread just viewing this and other threads.

I am going to attempt the update using a memory stick from this site as suggested in the "HELP" pages.

I will try this when I can find out where it is.

I  was then able to sign into XBOX Live.

Not all features seemed avaliable.

Did see 9 friends online but did not look at messages or what status/games playing etc.

Put a game in which loaded, I was then disconnected immeadiately from xbox live, game closed and received another code

Please can Microsoft fix this soon, renewed XBOX Live a few weeks ago and cannot use it.

This whole update is horrible. I had the update finally download after 2 days but nothing load on the dashboard so i was told to delete the newest update and re-download, the re-downloading has yet to be successful.

Where are they when we need them?

Just turned XBOX on, no new update but XBOX connected to XBOX Live straight away. Completely baffled.

I might just risk playing a game online later.

Tried it on my brothers Xbox. Worked perfectly. Then tried it on mine. Error. FML!

I think I might just have to sell it and get another.
