    How to Find SSID (Network Name)

    1. Open Web Browser.
    2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    3. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    4. From the sub-menu select LAN.
    5. From the sub-sub-menu select Wireless.
    6. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    7. The SSID will be located on this page labeled Network Name (SSID).

     

    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

    1. Plug the computer into the LAN port of the device via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open Web Browser.
    3. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    4. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    5. From the sub-menu select LAN.
    6. From the sub-sub-menu select Wireless.
    7. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    8. If password is set to "Use Default Encryption Key", check the side of the device for a 10-digit number in brackets between the 2 barcodes (may be listed as wireless passphrase).
    9. If Password is set to "Use Custom Encryption Key", the password will be in the box labeled "Key" (password will be starred out and a new password will need to be entered.  For every character entered 3 stars will be added).

     

    Changing Security Type/ Disable Wireless Security

    1. Plug the computer into the LAN port of the device via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open Web Browser.
    3. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    4. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    5. From the sub-menu select LAN.
    6. From the sub-sub-menu select Wireless.
    7. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    8. In the Authentication Type drop down menu select desired security encryption. (To turn off the security select Disabled in the Wireless Security drop down menu).
    9. Select the Use custom Wireless Network Key radio button.
    10. Enter desired wireless password.
    11. Select Save.

     

    MAC Filtering

    1. Open Web Browser.
    2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    3. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    4. From the sub-menu select LAN.
    5. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    6. From the sub-sub-menu select Wireless.
    7. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    8. Select the “Edit Blocked/Allowed Device List”
    9. If checked, uncheck the Enable box.
    10. Select Save.

     

    Change Wireless Channel

    1. Plug the computer into the LAN port of the device via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open Web Browser.
    3. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    4. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    5. From the sub-menu select LAN.
    6. From the sub-sub-menu select Wireless.
    7. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    8. Scroll to the section labeled Network, and from the drop down menu labeled Wireless Channel, select the desired channel. (Channels 1,3,9,11)
    9. Select Save.

     

    Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open Web Browser.
    2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    3. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    4. From the sub-menu select LAN.
    5. From the sub-sub-menu select Wireless.
    6. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    7. Scroll to the section labeled Advanced Settings, and from the drop down menu labeled Wireless Mode, select 802.11g.
    8. Select Save.

     

    Change Wireless Band (Width)

    *This device only supports 20Mhz*



    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open Web Browser.
    2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    3. From the menu at the top select Settings.
    4. From the Sub-Menu Select LAN.
    5. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    6. From the Sub-Sub-Menu Select IP Address Allocation.
    7. Choose the Xbox.
    8. From the Address Assignment drop down select Static IP Address.
    9. Leave the WAN IP Mapping to its default setting.
    10. Select Save.

     

    Port Forwarding

    1. Open Web Browser.
    2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    3. Click on Firewall.
    4. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    5. Click on Applications, Pinholes and DMZ.
    6. Click on the Xbox from the device list or specify an IP address.
    7. Click on Allow Individual Applications.
    8. Click add a new user-defined application.
    9. Fill in the information for port forwarding. (use 3074 for the Port From and To)
    10. Select Add to List.
    11. From the Application List find the rule that was created and add it to the Hosted Application list.
    12. Click Save.

     

    Disable Port Forwarding

    1. Open Web Browser.
    2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
    3. From the menus at the top select Settings.
    4. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
    5. From the sub-menu select Firewall.
    6. From the sub-sub-menu, select Applications, Pinholes and DMZ.
    7. In step 1) select the Xbox from the device list.
    8. In the Hosted Applications box highlight the rules and click Remove.
    9. Select Save.

         

        DMZ

        1. Open Web Browser.
        2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
        3. From the menus at the top select Settings.
        4. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
        5. From the sub-menu select Firewall.
        6. From the sub-sub-menu, select Applications, Pinholes and DMZ.
        7. In step 1, select the IP Address/MAC Address/Host Name of the Xbox.
        8. In step 2, select Allow All Applications (DMZplus Mode) at the bottom.
        9. Select Save.

         

        Disable DMZ

        1. Open Web Browser.
        2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
        3. From the menus at the top select Settings.
        4. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
        5. From the sub-menu select Firewall.
        6. From the sub-sub-menu, select Applications, Pinholes and DMZ.
        7. In step 1) select the blank spot.
        8. Select Save.

         

        UPnP

        *There is no option to change UPnP on this device.*

         

        Firewall

        How to Find Firmware Version

        1. Open Web Browser.
        2. In the address bar of the browser enter in "gateway.2wire.net" (if this does not work, try one of the following IP address: (192.168.1.254).
        3. From the menu at the top select Settings.
        4. From the sub-menu select System Info.
        5. From the sub-sub-menu select Status.
        6. If it asks for a password check the side of the device.
        7. The Firmware Version is located on this page labeled Software Version.

         Restore Factory Defaults

        *Please have PPPoE information available, if you do not have this, please contact your ISP.*

        1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
        2. Locate the reset button on the device.
        3. With a paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
        4. Wait for the lights to return to normal before attempting to access the firmware.
