    • Gateway - 192.168.1.1

    How to Find SSID (Network Name)

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless basic settings” on the left hand side.
    6. Your current wireless network name will be located next to “ESSID”.

     

     

    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless basic settings” on the left hand side.
    6. Your current wireless passphrase will be located next to “WEP 64-bit:” or “WPA”.

     

     

    Disabling Wireless Security

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless basic settings” on the left hand side.
    6. To disable wireless security, scroll down on the main page until you see step 4 then click on the “off” button.
    7. Click apply to save changes.

     

     

    Changing Wireless Security Type

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless advance settings” on the left hand side.
    6. Under “level 1” select the security type you would like to use.
    7. Select apply.

     

     

    MAC Filtering

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless advance settings” on the left hand side.
    6. On the main page, check the “Enable Access List”
    7. Select “Accept all devices listed below”.
    8. Enter in a MAC address from the device you would like to add.
    9. After adding the devices, click on Apply.
    10. You can also remove the MAC addresses by selecting them in the “List” box and selecting the “Remove” button.

     

     

    Change Wireless Channel

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless basic settings” on the left hand side.
    6. Go down to step 3.
    7. Select the channel you would like to use.
    8. Click on “apply”.

     

     

    Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Wireless Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. Click on “Wireless advance settings” on the left hand side.
    6. On the main page click on “802.11b/g mode”.
    7. On the next page in the drop down select “802.11g only” .
    8. Click apply.

     

     Change Wireless Band (Width)

    *This device only supports 20Mhz*


    UPnP

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Advanced Setup” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. On the left hand side click on UPnP.
    6. On the Upnp page, select the “On” option.
    7. Click apply.

     

     

    DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. Once logged in, click on “Security” on the top of the page.
    4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
    5. On the left hand side click on “DMZ hosting”.
    6. On the DMZ hosting page, click on the “On” button.
    7. In the dropdown menu for “DMZ Host PC Name” Select the xbox.
    8. Click apply.

     

     

          Disable DMZ

          1. Open a web browser.
          2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          3. Once logged in, click on “Security” on the top of the page.
          4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
          5. On the left hand side click on “DMZ hosting”.
          6. On the DMZ hosting page, click on the “Off” button.
          7. Click apply.

           

           

          Firewall

          1. Open a web browser.
          2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          3. Once logged in, click on “Security” on the top of the page.
          4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
          5. On the left hand side click on “Firewall Settings”.
          6. On the “Firewall Setting” page, select low.
          7. Click apply.

           

           

          Restoring Defaults


          *Please have PPPoE information available, if you do not have this, please contact your ISP.*

          1. Open a web browser.
          2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          3. Once logged in, click on “Utilities” on the top of the page.
          4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
          5. On the left hand side click on “Restore Default Settings”.
          6. On the “Restore Default Settings” page click on “Restore Default Settings” button.
          7. Warning: Do not unplug the Power cord from the Gateway during the Restore Default Settings process. Doing so may result in permanent damage to the Gateway.
          8. When the Power Light stops flashing and glows steadily green, the Gateway  has successfully reset.

           

           

          Port Forwarding

          1. Open a web browser.
          2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          3. Once logged in, click on “Firewall” on the top of the page.
          4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
          5. On the left hand side click on “Applications”.
          6. On the “PC Name” dropdown menu and select the xbox (might show up blank).
          7. In the “Category” list select “User”.
          8. Click on “New”.
          9. A “Rule Management” screen will appear.
          10. For “Rule Name” type in “Xbox Live”.
          11. For “Protocol” select both TCP/UDP.
          12. For “Port Start” type in 3074.
          13. For “Port End” type in 3074.
          14. For “Port Map” leave it blank.
          15. Click Apply.
          16. Click Back.
          17. “Xbox live” will now be avaliable on the previous screen under “Avaliable Rules”.
          18. Select the Add button.
          19. Click apply.

           

           

          Disable Port Forwarding

          1. Open a web browser.
          2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          3. Once logged in, click on “Firewall” on the top of the page.
          4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
          5. On the left hand side click on “Applications”.
          6. Click on the remove button.
          7. Click apply.

           

           

          DHCP Reservation

          DHCP Reservation is not available on this device.

           

           

          Updating Firmware

          1. Connect a computer with an ethernet cable to the gateway.
          2. Open a web browser.
          3. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          4. Once logged in, click on “Utilities” on the top of the page.
          5. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information).
          6. On the left hand side click on “Upgrade Firmware”.
          7. This will bring up the “Upgrade Firmware” screen.
          8. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the firmware.

           

           

          Finding Firmware Version

          1. Open a web browser.
          2. Log into the gateway by entering “192.168.1.1” into the address bar of the internet browser.
          3. Once logged in, click on “Status” on the top of the page.
          4. When  prompted to enter the username and password. Type in the current username and password (see login information). 
          5. The “Broadband Connection Status” screen appears.
          6. Look for General Statistics.
          7. On this page, you will find the Firmware Version.

           

           

          Bridging Guide
