    *Note* MediaCom customer login using their MediaCom account email and password.

    Shaw Customers: There is a stick on the gateway with a user name and password. There are in the section labeled Advanced Configuration.


     

    Wireless Security

    How to Find Wireless Passphrase

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Wireless.
    5. On the sub tabs select Wireless Security.
    6. Look to see what type of passphrase is enabled from the drop-down box at the top.
    7. For a WPA Security Mode, the passphrase will be listed in the box that says Pre-Shared Key. For a WEP Security Mode, look in the box that says Wireless Passphrase or Key 1. 

    How to Change Wireless Security

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Wireless.
    5. On the sub tabs select Wireless Security.
    6. In the Wireless Security Mode: drop down select desired mode (WPA-Personal, WPA2-Personal).
    7. To turn off the security, select Disable.
    8. Select Save Settings.

     

    DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Applications & Gaming.
    5. On the sub tabs select DMZ.
    6. Select Enable.
    7. Type in the IP Address of the Xbox.
    8. Select Save Settings.

    Disable DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Applications & Gaming.
    5. On the sub tabs select DMZ.
    6. Select Disable.
    7. Select Save Settings.

     

    Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Applications & Gaming.
    5. On the sub tabs select Port Range Forwarding.
    6. In Start Port and End Port type in 3074.
    7. In Protocol drop-down box select both.
    8. In IP Address type in the IP Address of the Xbox.
    9. Put a check in the Enable box.
    10. Select Save Settings.

    Disable Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Applications & Gaming.
    5. On the sub tabs select Port Range Forwarding.
    6. Uncheck in the Enable box next to the ports you want to remove.
    7. Select Save Settings.

     

    Firewall

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Security.
    5. Select Firewall in the sub tabs.
    6. Disable SPI Firewall Protection.
    7. Click Save Settings.

     

    Restore Defaults

    Through firmware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN 1 port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    4. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU).
    5. In the menu at the top, select Administration.
    6. Select Restore Factory Defaults.
    7. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.

    Through Hardware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN 1 port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Locate the reset button on the device.
    3. With paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
    4. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.

     

    How to Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Wireless.
    5. Select Basic Settings from the sub tabs.
    6. If not already selected, click on Manual for Wireless Configuration.
    7. In the Network Mode drop down box select G Only.
    8. Select Save Settings.

     

    How to Change Wireless Channel

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Wireless.
    5. Select Basic Settings from the sub tabs.
    6. If not already selected, click on Manual for Wireless Configuration.
    7. In the Standard Channel drop down box select desired channel. (1,3,9,11)
    8. Select Save Settings.

     

    Update Firmware

    How to Find Firmware Version

    1. Open a web browser.

    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU).
    4. Click Status across the top.
    5. Click Gateway from the sub tabs.
    6. Firmware is located on this page labeled Firmware Version:.

     

    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU).
    4. Click Setup across the top.
    5. Click Lan Setup from the sub tabs.
    6. Click the Pre-Assigned DHCP IP Addresses button.
    7. Enter in the Xbox's MAC Address and IP Address.
    8. Click Add Static IP.

     

    UPnP

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU).
    4. Select Administration across the top.
    5. Select Management from the sub tabs.
    6. Choose Enable or Disable UPnP near the bottom of the page.
    7. Click Save Settings.

    4. In the menu at the top, select Wireless.
    5. Select Basic Settings from the sub tabs.
    6. SSID is located on this page in the box under Wireless Network Name (SSID).

     

    MAC Filter

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top type in 192.168.0.1
    3. If asked for a user name and password use (cusadmin/password). If your ISP is Charter you can use (chtruser/charter or chtrtech/charter), if you ISP is Rodgers you can use (rogcesadmin/wra8uje or rogcesadmin/nas00Rn7TU). 
    4. In the menu at the top, select Wireless.
    5. Select MAC Filter from the sub tabs.
    6. Select the Disable radio button.
    7. Select Save Settings.
