My Xbox does not register that there is a Ethernet cable connected to it. I have tried new cables, Different Ports, and the router is brand new so that couldn't be the problem. But, I wanted to see if it was the router, so I asked my friend to come over to my house and plug his Xbox in, and it worked just fine. After seeing that it worked fine on his and not mine, I then checked where the Cat5 cable connects to my Xbox, and there was nothing, bent , broken, or damaged. Can someone please help me with this problem?
If the console is not recognizing your ethernet cable and you've tried different cables and ports on your router, then it sounds like the ethernet port on your console is damaged. It will need a repair, which you can set up here: support.xbox.com/.../repair-process
